PM Modi’s ‘Swach Bharat’ campaign   Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyaan‘ or ‘Clean India’ campaign kickstarts on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2. The campaign, which is aimed at cleaning up India and improving sanitation facilities, finds resemblance with CNN-IBN’s own Clean India campaign. CNN-IBN had launched this campaign before August 15 and had covered cities across the country. Narendra Modi brought up the Swach Bharat campaign in his Independence Day address. The Delhi Traffic Police has said that several arterial roads in and around Rajpath will remain closed on Thursday when Modi will launch the ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyaan’ and flag off a walkathon. “To facilitate smooth conduct of the function, Rajpath and Rafi Marg shall be closed for movement of traffic from 5 AM to 12 noon while Janpath and Man Singh Road shall be closed between 8 AM to 10 AM,” said Joint commissioner of Police (Traffic) Anil Shukla.   How important is Swach Bharat to India?
